Heat design change
Hi Nordic experts !
I intend to go for a 28 Heat. I found a 2001 that looks pretty good to me. I read in Powerboat Magazine that Nordic changed the hull in 2002. Does anybody know the difference of the 2001 and 2002 model ? I appreciate you help. Alex |

Alex,
That ought to be one hot H2X you have there. I had one with a 600HP motor in it and it ran in the low 80s. I really enjoyed it, but wanted more space and a smoother ride in rough water. You are making a good choice with the Heat. I love mine. The Powerboat article is a typo. My 2001 has the step hull, and I believe I've seen a 2000 with the step hull. The 99 and older Heats have a pad vee, which also seems to work well. Regards, Steve |
I had a h2x before also the nordic is a great boat. I wouldnt trade it for anything else.

Thanks guys for that quick response !
It is kind of funny that 2 "Ex-H2Xers" and maybe me are Heat owner s now. Steve, thanks for the info. I heard about the step thing and was confused then because I saw a stepped 2001. Greeting from germany Alex |
so..gotta ask...what's it cost to get a boat from the US to Germany? shipped in a container?

Guessing $4 to $5 Grand

The price guess is about right for a 28 foot boat.
If it would fit in an container, things would be easier and cheaper. We bought a 25 Outlaw this year and it arrived in Germany as we left it in New Jersey. |

The open bow and the closed bow changed bottoms in different years. I believe..... 2000 went step for closed, and I know 2001 went step for open bow. They also cut the windshields down a bit in those years.
I had a 2001 open bow, built in Sept of 2000. Laminated wood to fiberglass interiors also changed at different years. Around 2002. Lonnie put all new fiberglass interior and head liner in mine. It was much nicer. |
