I've got the same boat and motor (05) and don't burn very much oil. I change my oil every 20 hours religiously. How often have you changed yours. Better have it checked out before it goes poof.

Just curious. Do you have the xr/its outdrive? And what kind of speed are you getting? Also what gears and prop? Closed bow or open.

:eek::eek::eek:

1. Where you given a break in schedule from the dealer?

2. Is there any oil in the bilge?

3. Does the smoke at all......even if a little?

1QT every 60 gal of fuel is not a good sign. Something is wrong.

From whom did you purchase your HEAT from?

If your warranty comes into play just swear to every 20 hours with merc 25/40. You can buy oil online from a variety of places. Teague Custom Marine carries it and delivers. Change the filter with every oil change. You can buy an electric oil pump for around $125 and do it yourself. Just run the motor up to temp. before pumping the old oil out so it pumps easier. Did you baby it for the first 10 hrs. and not run it past 3/4 throttle? Keep us posted. Good luck with your new ride. But it doesn't sound like your off to a good start. Keep us posted.

Duh...

Better get it fixed. Under high pressure I'm sure a small leak will be a significant one.

PS: on another subject.... take a read through the Drive spacer results thread here in the Nordic section....

I think Nordic changed the X demention on the newer heats so a Spacer might not help
