Ok today is the day for the water test!!!!

Well Its going to be like 49 to low 50's and sunny today. It's been killing me that I haven't been able to get the boat out for some water testing. So today is the day. Me and my two friends are going to the lake today at 3:00 to see what the whipple is going to do!! Any guesses??? 496ho whipple, xr drive, 28 Nordic Heat. I'm hoping for mid to upper 70's. But we will see. I hope the 28p Bravo will work good for me. I'm at 2000ft and I'm still thinking I'm going to put the 1" drive spacer in. What you guess??? I'll post some pic and some #'s later today.

76.5 is my guess

Ok I need a little help. I only got 5mph over stock. What did I do wrong??? My prop did not feel to big but did have a little problem getting to 5200. I had to trim way to high to get it there. I need to talk to Whipple to see what they might have to say. I thought 75mph was a good goal. i hit 68.8 on gps. Some thing is just not right. I dont know???? What do you think???

You could call Bob at FTM in Spicewood he has put more then one Whipple on the Heats ..He would know what the problem would be...

Hell I am getting 73 GPS with mine with the Raylar install

I know and I should have more power. I did find out one big problem is my prop slip. It's at 25% I need a drive spacer or something.

1" spacer

Do you have a scan tool connected? My guess is you are in a reduced power mode for some reason. Could be as simple as drive lube low. You need to get a good data log as you're running it to know what's going on.

Your prop slip is probably so high because you are overtrimming it to compensate for lack of power. Get the engine right before worrying about the prop or drive spacer. You also should really have an 02 sensor installed to see where your A/F ratios are.

If you don't have the equipment to test all this it might be worth paying to fly someone in that does(or take your boat to someone). I know Dustin can do it, as can Tyler Crockett and myself. A lot cheaper than an engine! I have an adapter to hook up an 02 sensor to stock exhaust.

Ok I feel really dumb. I found out that when I put the fuel press gauge on the fuel rail that I forgot the hook up the map sensor:grinser010: that is why I was getting a buzzer from time to time. I fell like a dumb a$$. That will make a diff on how the motor runs. So I really need to go and run it again to see how much it will change.

He must still be out there doing the overnight/twilight testing.
Can't wait to hear results.
