Boats first home was on a lift next to my 35. Great paint job. Did they ever get the speeds out the boat they were looking for?

100 degree weekend at 2200 feet, 4 people and almost full of fuel.. I ran the boat into the upper 80's with no problem at all.

I guess the boat runs low 90's right now and after ILMOR does their upgrade to make them 625's the boat should run low 100's.

NICE FLAME. Probably the best I've ever seen.

Upper 80's is about what we saw out of it. The Merc 525 package seems to have slightly more top end though.

500 EFI's mine ran 88. I upgraded the engine to 575 HP and it ran 93MPH. 75 HP over the 500 went 5MPH. Add another 75 HP(650), should be 98? I think it will take 700 HP to see 100. Great paint job on the boat. I thought it had 625's now??

550's as it sits......... I guess the boat was built right before the 625's came out. Rumor has it ILMOR agreed to do the free upgrade (labor only) to whomever buys the boat.

As far as the top end...... With 625's, I would guess that boat somewhere in that window your talking about. Upper 90's maybe a shot at 100. The little time I spent in the boat, it seemed like a little weight front could help.
I know of a boat in Havasu with 750 Phaffs and it runs in the 110'ish range (so I've been told). I've seen the boat do 105.

Are they the naturally aspirated 598 Pfaff's?
Any further info/contact would be helpful...
Sounds encouraging to me :evilb::evilb:

You live in a beautiful place. My wife and I were married there and stayed at the top of the resort in CDL. Also bought our first powerboat (Mirage) there from Skip at Specialty Sales (?).

Thanks,
Dave
