Ran the Thor with new 700hp Paul Phaff
We had a few issues to work out but over all the boat ran GREAT. I was impressed at the speed and acceleration. We Had a 1/2 tank of gas 40 gallons and a 34pitch bravo 1 labbed from mercury. Between a 101 and 102 on gps hitting the rev limiter. I am sending the ecu off to have the rev limiter raised as we speak. I have a bad pic of the speedometer which is hard to read. I will take more pictures soon. BTW the hatch looks amazing. Big thanks to Nordic for the custom build and also Revolution Performance Marine for there help with the final rigging gauges and gel coat repair. Steve is a top notch guy, his brother and coworkers are also great people and helped out a lot.

Here is a bad pic of the speedo. It looks like a 101 but it was more on 102.

Great job John!
Congradulations! :evilb: Once again showing that hard/smart work pays off. With a little tweeking, you should be able to hit 105mph. Try to get your hands on a Hering prop... they are the fastest props I have tried to date. 16mph gain for a little money, but a lot of hard work, is a fantastic gain. Next couple of years when the need-for-speed bug bites hard.... 4.0 Whipple upgrade... Oh yeah!... 130mph+ here we come! Awsome!! :ernaehrung004: Chris |
Congratulations John.
Good #s for early testing. The new hatch looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing it in person. Regards, Steve |
Ran a 36 labbed bravo and ran 103 at 5500. The alternator failed and it started sputtering. I had to drive it back to the trailer with a jump box. 105 is possible when its all fixed but 103 isnt to bad.

16% slip with the 36 13% with the 34. I am going to have Brett at Bblades build me a new prop. He thinks that with a 34 he can get the slip to 10% and that would be 106 at 5600rpms. I cant wait. I am getting the alternator rebuilt on monday. It will be at least three weeks before the prop is done. I am going to try out the 36 one more time next week.

Ran the Thor yesterday everything is fixed alternator and all little bugs. The boat ran great 100mph with 1/2 a tank and Myself and another 250lb guy. This is in dead flat water on the lake at 840 feet elevation with the temp at 76 degrees. I cant complain. The 34 bravo is the better all around prop. We spun it to 5500 rpm with the both of us. The boat also pulls like a beast. The 36 was a little much for 2 people only spining it to 5200-5300 rpms. I am happy 100 was the goal and it does that effortlessly. I am going to try the 36 agian alone just to see how fast she will run light on fuel by myself. There was a 35 Fountain and a svt tunnel boat out yesterday and both were shown how Nordic boats run. The 35 fountain may have run 70 and the svt may have run 80. I think this summer is going to be fun
