How fast is a 27 lightning deck boat?
Looking at buying something with some more room but I dont want to sacrifice too much speed. How fast are these boats with an HO or better? Thanks in advance for the input.

525 low 80's Will need about 900hp-920hp to make it do 100mph. |
I've tested several of them. They will run mid 60's with a 496 HO under average summer conditions (95+ degrees) at 700 ft. elevation, light load. The 525 will run low to mid 70's. I installed a Whipple on one with a 525. It now runs low 90's under the same conditions that it would only run low 70's stock. Of course these are all GPS numbers.
