Want to Purchase Nordic 22 E 496HO
 

Greetings Everybody!

My first post on this forum and I hope to get some help.

This week-end, I hope to conclude the purchase of a new Nordic 22E equipped with a 496HO.

I have studied the various boats available in this size and the Nordic seems to suit better my taste and needs.

The boat looks awesome, the open deck option allows to carry many passengers if required.

The top speed is also something that is an important factor for me. The boat will only be used on a lake and I would be really annoyed to get my butt kicked every time I go for a ride :lolhit:

Can I expect mid 70's MPH with it ?

Anything I should consider before proceeding with the purchase?

but my Rage puts up those numbers with quite a few of us in the boat. I'll bet propped right she'll do 75, it's just a matter of water conditions. Have fun and congrats!

Regarding Price for this model with Engine.

Is 65K in the right range?

How much would a brand new 25 Rage with same engine cost?

It seems like Nordic was advertising a left over Rage for @69K, but not sure and can't find it on their website. Their web site is nordicboatsusa.com. I really like my Rage, as far as performance goes I beleive is one of the fastest hulls with the 496 HO whichs gives you reliability. Where are you located?

Just looked at Nordics website and they don't list the 496 HO as an option for this year just the 496 Mag. There is a 50 hp difference between the two, which I would think would be about 5 - 7 mph difference. I still think that size of boat should do 70 though. Might want to search internet on any articles about it.

I got a Rage that will get you around 90mph for less money than a new 22. It is used, but in excellent shape. PM me & I can get you details.
I've not been in a 22, but they look like a great boat for the money. I've seen them new at a dealer here for about $50K, but that's with the small block.

i actually inquired on that boat when i was looking, if its the 09 thats red/yellow/orange it has no power, and a 496 HO is getting harder to find since the 502 is back, i talked to larry songster about it and had it down below 65k with a reman from merc 496 HO in it, 525 would be an awesome setup but the price goes up alittle:eek: with that package, i don't think the HO is available in the 22 evo

The dealership is offering to install the 496HO for me.

that would def haul some a$$, i would def opt for external steering as well with that setup
