Beware an OKC 28 Heat

Noted in the "Beware" section.

I drove up to OKC this past Friday with the potential buyer -- who had done very good due diligence with seller over the phone and digital pics prior to making an offer, and having that accepted (pending sea trial).

Several key issues discovered (obvious ones), that seller neglected to mention. My buddy rightly backed-out.

FYI, this boat is not listed on this website.

I've seen the boat your talking about for sale. I had considered it. What issues did you find?

Let's just say is quite below the "9 out of 10 and turn-key ready to go" the seller represented the boat as being. If you're still considering that particular vessel, I'd be happy to PM you with a few more details, rather than humiliate this particular Heat publicly. It's a Nordic Pride thing. There should be a "shelter" for neglected Nordics. Sad.

In2deep. Is that why the buyer said if it just had a new prop he would be ecstatic? It had the seat rip on the seam (exactly where you said yours ripped). I had the wrong prop on it and now it has a brand new bravo 1. Took it out last weeked and it did great. Your just buttsore because u drove this far and I wouldn't lower the price for you.

This guy was a joke. He would sit there and stare at the voltmeter when switching between gas tanks. When the voltmeter barely twitches he says "oh this boat has wiring issues". Please. It's pulls amps. Never had a wiring issue on this boat in my life. He's a wannabe expert.

instead of making this a he said she said just post a bunch of pics of the issues on the boat and let the rest of us decide.

That and the majority of the interior lights don't work.
The switch draws amps and takes far longer than normal to switch. Chances are something is on its way out.
The hours were claimed to be 200-300, they were 410.
The keel of the boat is not just worn through the gel coat, a significant portion of the fiberglass has been worn flat.
The skeg had a silver dollar sized chunk missing, no mention of that.
The top of the boat has a significant portion of gel coat yellowing and looks less than great.
The engine was cutting out at WOT (could have been prop related) but was not mentioned and was clearly there previously.

Far more than "everything works great and it is a 9/10."

These are things that aren't terrible if proactively mentioned, not so great when represented to be a 9/10.

I'm over it, but those are things he didn't mention to us and probably isn't mentioning to anyone else. Take it or leave it.
