Stern Powerlight
 

Hello I was wondering if Nordic used a longer stern light on the heats versus the rage. Mine goes up like 6 ft and my buddys on his rage goes up half that. I know the powerlight brand has like three different sizes. Is it because the heat is a little longer? Does anybody else that has a heat have this problem? Mine is a 2005

did your buddy change his? mine is about 5' or so, the first time i put it up i couldn't beleive how tall it was

So the powerlight on this Nordic i'm looking at doesn't extend all the way. How common is this and how easy of a fix?

Just spray it with WD40. Try not to get it on your sunlounge/engine hatch. Also make sure not to turn on your stern light with the hatch up.

So let's say you're out in the evening and something goes wrong... You have your lights on (b/c it's dark), but you need to open the hatch. Do you have to kill the lights? That doesn't sound very safe if you're dead in the water...

You can keep your cockpit and cabin lights on. I have also added engine compartment leds and leds over the side panel drink holders.
It's an unlikely scenario, night engine problems.........if you are worried about that, the hatch could be modified so this wasn't an issue. The right rear corner would need to be scalloped. I have never seen anyone do this.
