Omg!!!

Went for a ride with Bobl and his friend Marc today on Lake LBJ. OMG is an understatement. I am in love. Thanks so much Bob and Marc for taking me and my dad out! They even let me drive lol. Had a blast, hit some great speeds and just plain old enjoyed. Now I just need to get my wife out on a Heat to get the final seal of approval.

Glad you were able to join us today. Hope it doesn't cost you too much! LOL.

CB-BLR 08-27-2011 10:27 AM

Yup...once you drive a Heat...most other boats in this size pale in comparison. It is extremely hard to find a single engined boat that is as versatile and easy to drive in a variety of water conditions....it just does about everything... really darn well!

I like to call mine "my 100mph wake boarding boat"

just my two cents,

Chris

Thanks Chris! Today is being spent cleaning up the Pachanga and hopefully someone soon will buy it. The nights are spent trying to find a 500EFI open bow... seems like they a) dont exist or b) no one wants to sell em.

CB-BLR 08-28-2011 12:02 PM

I will sell my open bow...for the right price.

The motor is a little bigger than a 500efi though.

hey jay, check out hiline-motorsports.com, he has a really clean 2000 heat w 500efi w 190hrs for 39,900, seams that most heats w 500's are around the 2000 model year

Jay Gadsby 08-28-2011 07:14 PM

I actually talked to him yesterday and am leaning heavily towards that boat actually. Shipping sucks, but oh well. Thanks!

blownhammer2000 08-28-2011 08:02 PM

thats cool, he was helping me look for a rage and i thought he was a really nice guy, and all of his inventory is always really nice condition, shipping shouldn't be too bad, i paid 2700 from havasu to eastern pa, if you check out shipping co check out quality driveaway, they shipped mine and i was informed morning and night where the driver was and what his eta was, very courtious drivers who seem to care about whats in tow, paid alittle more but was way worth it imo

I myself can only dream of owning a Nordic at this time but have a question?

Why would you want to to have a 28 ft or greater Nordic in an open bow config? To me standing up in those drop down bolsters and looking out on that long closed deck must be the best. Why break the beautiful lines of an offshore style deck? That would be a deal breaker for me in a purchase.

I respect your choice.

IMO Thanks

I have a closed bow and there are days i wish it was open, especially because I have little kids. I went with the closed because I said "you know what JD I don't want lots of people on my boat"!....

I really liked the concept of an open bow because it did add that certain flair for the people riding up front. I ended up with a closed bow because I wanted to have something my wife and I can sleep on with no issues. I am very happy with my choice and absolutely love the Nordic for sure.

And the nose is sexy as all get out ;)

Well if you ever have the chance to get in one you'll know. They still have a long lean look to them, but they are one of the most versatile boats on the market. I've had the closed bow, and except for the occasional sleep over, all the forward space is a waste. I can seat 9 adults in outside seating as opposed to only 5.
And if the kids wanna get out of the sun and watch a movie there's plenty of room inside. Last but not least, no more climbing over the damn windshield and across the bow! If you pull to the shore as we do, everyone just walks thru and climbs off the front.
