I was planning on buying an electric one, but most i have seen will take a little massaging to the surround to get it to fit. That one is cutting it close, isnt the opening like 24.5 x 13.5 or so? I dont know if it depends on the year or not.

My heat is a 2000 and that's the cooler i bought for mine. it's an exact fit. even molded around the handle.

i thought about the thermoelectric cooler for mine too but all the review's i've read on them are horrible. plus, they hog the power while running.

my ultimate plan is to do a drain in the bottom of the cooler like steve z did in his heat. the worst part of having that cooler there is having to pull it back out when it's full of water. (and god forbid a few full beers)

I am assuming Steve ran a hose down into the bilge area for drainage? I would like to see how that is done. I was toying with the idea of running a shore power setup for when my wife and I are out at the lake slipped or even camping on site, that is mainly when the electric cooler would be used. We will see how I feel about that when I get home lol. May be too much work.

Awesome, thanks! So, from this I gather the sink auto drains into the bilge as well? I dont have a user manual with my boat, and that was one of the questions I had.

OP- Sorry to hijack!!

nedpoole 11-01-2011 03:54 PM

yep, the sink drains to the bilge

ltl driver 11-01-2011 06:43 PM

thanks everyone, will talk to eb marine about the drain next week when i drop the boat off

This summer the hinges on my Coleman (same one that came with the boat that I put the drain in) finally gave out. One split completely. Hated to see that because of the drain, and with the hip roof lid design, it will hold some taller 5th bottles standing up. I hit the website. They have replacement hinges for like $4. Ordered a set and back in business as usual.
Regards,
Steve
