Nordic Heat Question

Hello Nordic Owners,

I am in the process of purchasing my first heat. I have one item I would like to get some input on before I finish my purchase. I have read in a few places that the sun pad's angle can be uncomfortable to spend a lot of time on. If my wife does not have a sufficient place to layout or we find we cannot hang out off the back of the boat while tied up in coves than I might think twice about are purchase. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Unless she is 6'4", the pad is comfortable. I have a 98 heat and both me and my wife can lay on it just fine. Love my heat!

My husband asked me to reply to your question. I'm not an avid tanner but on our Heat I lay with my legs dangling on the swim platform I find it a little steep to lay cross ways. I like to sit at the front of the mid cabin open front. It is really comfortable but you don't lay flat.

Exactly. And if the two built-in venues and techniques described above don't work for you always.....try this (which my wife and I like a lot);

- buy two $.99 cent Target inflatable pool floaties
- inflate both.
- jump in
- climb on
- tie one end of a string to your big toe (string color optional)
- loop other end of string over the cleat on the transom
- Get to floating
- enjoy.

Works darn near every time.

Thanks everyone for the input!

I agree, angle too steep to chill sideways on. Legs out on the bow, head against windshield works good.

Not good for hanging. It's ok if you're sitting but catching some quality time hanging on the pad is not too much fun. I'd have to say it was one of our disappointments with the boat.
