The worst of conditions for us. On this run we only topped 97.1. A huge gust of wind pushed us hard left and I backed off. With the 34p max 5 we can run a top of 124mph. During the tuning the day before we had issues with our blower drive belt splitting down the middle. We dropped boost and went to a larger pulley, I had no more belts for the higher boost pulley. We also dropped to a 32p max 5. At 97.1 we ran through the trap at 5100rpm

Looks like way too much fun! 496's can't make power right? I'm suprised there's not a post telling you to swap in a 502 lol.

The 496 sure didn't get a fair shake in the marine performance world did it. I shake my head all the time when I see people saying the 496 had bad pistons and rods and the 502 had forged components from the factory so the 502 is better. Then you ask them about their 502, and it has an all aftermarket rotating assembly in it. If you were going to replace it anyways then where's that advantage you talk about? LOL
