Whipple 496HO Mod
 

I read where Whipple has a STAGE 1 Mod to increase power on the 496HO by 10% (42hp) Cost $995.00 includes *Whipple Hi-Performance Engine Program *Low Temperature Thermostat *Hi-Flow Air Filter...........Has any of you Nordic people (28 Heat owners) tried this yet...If so what has been your results? I was thinking better mid range and maybe 1 or 2mph top end. What does everyone think?

If you get the 42hp, then I would think your 2mph top end would be a reasonable expectation.

I have not heard of anyone using there mod's yet.

As I understand it no one has one yet. I was interested in a stage 2 mod. until I saw the price. I don't think Whipple has reprogramed any 555s for the public yet. I for one am a little nervous about this engine and mods. I might wait one more year.
