Putting a new floor in the Heat, I'll post pics as a
I go along. Need some action on here.

Also might install the whipple if I dont sell it, Oh yea and upgrade the fuel lines to 1/2".

What else? Oh, new vinyl for hatch and back seat.

MMMMM...... and diamond plate for the engine compartment!!!!!

This should keep me busy

Have most of the stuff, so it should go fast once the weather heats up, ie. next week.

Hmmm...that looks familiar :D Unfortunately, the engine doesn't  Keep us posted and if you have any questions, just ask, I've been there.

Oh yea...wasn't the carpet gross when you pulled it up? I couldn't believe how grungy it was after only one season on my boat, and I'm quite the neatnick. I'm glad it's gone, the new flooring looks so much better and much easier to clean :D

Is it just the angle of the picture or is the engine actually sitting lower on the right side?

Did you see the Whipple for sale on this site. It is new and is for your engine. Looks like a good price.

Keep the pictures coming. If it turns out like Indy's I am sure you will be happy.

Boy is that becoming a familiar site :p

Hey thats my Whipple. I noticed the tilt also but I think its because the l/h header (on your right in picture) top sits lower than the r/h.

rtn137,
That is what I thought and then I looked at the top of the plenum of the intake against the back of the hull and that looks tilted too. So does the angle of the air cleaner. How does it look in person, maybe it is just the angle of the picture. I was thinking maybe when the aligned the drive the mounts were off and they didn't bother leveling them before adjusting for drive alignment.

Interesting

Boy, that sure looks crooked to me also. Hopefully it's the camera angle. They can play some tricks for sure.
One header will not be any higher than the other. One will sit further forward on a big block but not higher.
Interesting

You guys are making me nervous. I looked at the engine and a larger picture of that one. The filter is crooked, but its just the angle of the headers making it appear that way I guess.

Gota run, off to Lost Wages, Nv.

Talk to you guys next week.

Tim

Geez...you engineers are incredible :p Ya'll are definately NOT invited to my house, I'll wind up selling it after ya'll tear it apart, and I'm one of the best carpenters/finishers that's ever picked up a tool belt!! :D

rtn...it looks fine, the air filter is just tweaked, the header thing is just the camera angle.

rv 04-11-2003 08:47 PM

Ok Steve we will stop picking on Tim ;)
Tim, if it is tilted it probably is from all that torque your sweet engine is making. I wish I had a pair of those in ours.

Steve, I am sure your house is perfect. I bet you used a laser to set level!

Dave, I bet Steve didn't cal that laser before using it though.
