Dialing in a 28 Heat
I've got a new 2003 28 Heat that I will start to dial in. What has every found does and doesn't work for dialing it in (props, x-dim, etc.) Thanks!!!! :D

From what I have heard the X on these is pretty high right from the factory. Not sure if you want to raise it anymore. Check your rooster tail based on the amount of trim you have applied. If it doesn't take much trim to start a rooster tail you are high enough.
What engine, prop, wot rpm do you get. Rick |
That's what I thought, I don't need a whole lot of trim to get a rooster tail going. I was just curious if anyone had changed the X.
I'm running a 496 Mag (375), 24P Bravo I, turning 4900 - 5050 rpm (depending on humidity). I'm having a Procharger put on soon :D and then I'll start dialing it in. But I don't want to waste time on things that have been tried with little success. Has anyone tried any props other that the Bravo I? Thanks! |
Rev4 prop does not work well at all. Maybe Dave will chime in here regarding his experience with his. I just sold my 28 this past summer and I was thinking of lowering the X a little because it was so high, I don't think I was getting all the bite I could with my blades.
