It's an island off of Atlantic Highlands, adjacent to Sandy Hook. It's accessable by boat only...but I guess you could hike if you needed to.:rolleyes:

But anyway, we have a good time at the island every weekend! ;) :drink:

Ok , I got the date. Sat aug 11 , Mike Werdans anual summer bash will again happen at racoon island inside sandy hook bay. Band on the beach and plenty of room to anchor. If you want a beachfront spot , you better get there early!!!! Trying to get the water taxi again as a runner for those who miss the boat!!!

Made another trip down the ocean this weekend, 140 mile round trip to the Barnegat area for Shore Dreams. :cool:

Even JCPERF and Garbageman made the trip from Long Island. :drink:

So when ya'll coming up? or out? :rolleyes:

This is two weeks in a row I didn't even go look at my boat.:(

Get the keys to the "Morrocan Queen", pick me up and lets head south, I'll bring a few "GFE's" you will forget all about your boat for a while:D .

Here's another view of the island. The channel to the south side is the main channel (marked). The chanel that dog legs out into the bay is the false channel (not marked). It has 10 ft of water at meanlow with one or two spots with a minimum of 5 ft at meanlow water, plenty deep for any kind of boat.
