Hey, I think you pulled up to the Island Sunday right?? We were leaving shortly after you pulled up. Running home we idled past Windansea, there was a newer Fountain parked there. It was one of the Fountains with the raised windshield. I don't think he was from the area, anyone know who it was? Could this thread actaully be getting some of the other powerboaters to come out and check us out? :party-smiley-020: |
Hunster-
I checked your profile - you have a few years on me :). I grew up in a yellow house on the corner of Hunting Lane (2nd portion) and Dartmouth Ave - Knollwood was about 6 houses up. In fact, if your car was ever hit by a snowball, or you ran over some garbage cans in the middle of the road in that area, it was likely me up to no good. I graduated RFH in '89.... How about you? Sorry to hi-jack the thread guys............... Cashed Out.....how did you go about changing your OSO screenname ? I see you are formely known as On the Heat...... and Panther.......reading this thread does make me want to come check out your stomping grounds.......the only thing holding me back is that my wife is expecting ..... so I am lucky we even make it out in the back bays of L.I. If she is feeling well by the weekend I might try to make it on the 11th...............................

JohnnyD - just email OSO adminstrator (under 'Contact Us')with the request and they will make it happen. The good news is that it takes affect everywhere, including past posts.

I divided my weekends in half. Saturdays are "my day" and I take the boat out with friends or other family members (Lucididee etc.) and Sunday is Jodie's day. When Jodie is on the boat we stay in the rivers, bay and the local island. She's over 7 months now and we decided last weekend that if she's out on the boat she's going to have to stay in the boat unlike before where we would nose up to the beach and she would get on/off the boat. Now it's too much of a risk to have her climbing all over the boat as she's gotten bigger and it throws the balance off a bit.... With all that being said, we still went boating on Friday night, I went out on Saturday and she was on the boat Sunday again. I have had one of the best summers that I can remember!!! Just remember, if you let things keep you down they will..... I was literally on a speedboat from infancy....I may change my boating style after we have the kid but I won't sell out...... Only way I'll sell out is for a 40 ft. Formula SS with Diesels!~ Looking at my financial sitiation that's a ways off...so Apache it is!!! (Good thing Jodie won't let me sell the boat. :D ) |
