Since this is the NE section I thought I would recieve the most simpathy. My boat is wraped up in it's winter condom. And there is no snow anywhere even north of the border. The snowmobile season is what gets me threw the winter and without it I'm about to jump off the Bear Mountain Bridge.Just thought there might be a few fellow sledders/boats in the same situation feeling my pain. Here is a couple pic's from two weeks ago to help you make it threw this these tough times

Gladhe8er 01-12-2008 11:03 PM

I feel the same way live wire. We need more snow! I only have 3 days and 190 miles on my sleds so far this winter.

Seems like Everyone rocks REV's around here. I'm a firecat guy right now, although that XP loks like a possibility...The girlfriend has a REV 600 HO SDI.

Figures. I'll likely save it up for the weeend after...

I've got my snow dancing shoes on. I was really banking on this being a snowy winter so that my mind was off the new-to-me boat, but it's starting to get difficult!

otis311 01-17-2008 07:18 PM

You should have had that new boat sent right down to Florida

Screw snowmobiles. I have them but only use them once or twice a year when some of my stupid Floridian friends think its cool to drive 1800 miles up north only to freeze there asses off stay for 36 hours and drive back home !!:D:D

live wire 01-17-2008 08:55 PM

Sounds like your florida buddies would like a change in the seasons.I love the fact that just as I'm getting tired of the boating season its time to get back on the bikes ,soon after that its snowmobile season .Then back to the bikes for a bit, then its boating season again .GOTTA LOVE THE SEASONS

Same here...only I do quads instead of bikes.

Sarge1 01-18-2008 04:02 PM

I don't know how long it will last, but Ft. Drum is getting pounded right now which means Tug hill is getting hit even harder. Wish I would have never sold mine.

otis311 01-18-2008 04:23 PM

Tug hill is set up for some decent snow thru the weekend..

cold arctic air and winds out of the NW 15-25 mph = lots of snow

Jim,

I definatley apprieciate the invite but I will be bringing the boat down to Virgina that week. Hows your winter been ,have you been out on the sleds? Its been great riding the last couple of weeks.

Audiofn 03-06-2008 06:34 AM

I hope all this rain that went through last few days did not happen up north. I know it was not snow. I talked to a buddy up in Maine and he said it did not rain as much as in MA. I am heading up tomorrow AM and hope to ride all day Friday.

Where are you riding? We have about 4' on the ground here in the Sebago lake area. You have to stay on the trails or your done. Also the street crossings are a biotch the banks are like cliffs. Went up to St. Agatha and that was unreal like snow super highways. can see riding into May at this point if the rain keep down. From here up the ridings the best I've seen.

Gladhe8er 03-06-2008 08:53 AM

I know upstate NY got rain. Looks like another nasty mix of freezing rain/sleet coming for Saturday. I'm gonna head up and try to ride somewhere.

It rained a few days back didn't put a dent in it.

Two More

All in all it turned out to be a pretty good season.I had some of the best riding I can remember the last couple of weeks.I have two more trips planned March 14-17 , 28-31 I'm hoping the conditions last. If so I'll probally have 2500 miles for the season which is about average season for me. I am eager to get started on my boat motors upgrades so I'll be putting the sled away early this year to get a jump on the boating season.:boat:

Gladhe8er 03-06-2008 10:44 AM

One more weekend of riding for me. 885 miles so far...hope to crack 1000. It all dpends on the weather this weekend.

P.S. Nice pics Hydro. You will be riding through April!

I have a house that I am building in Naples. I hear ya with the crossings. It is insane. I ussually can ride over them at the end of my driveway and then ride down the road, cross over the road and into the woods. Now I have to ride down the road all the way and try and find a place to punch through. Amazing what these sleds will go over if you beleive in them!
