Launch site to see NYC
 

Can someone recommend a launch site on the Connecticut side of Long Is Sound or on the Hudson suitable for touring Manhattan? I would like to take my 87 year old parents on a boat ride and figure that I need to be fairly close to the city to keep the trip from becoming to long

I don't know the marinas or state ramps on south west shore of conn. But no need to trailer to Jersey. Its a short ride up to East river from conn. I would try goggel state boat ramps. When you enter the east river at hells gate make a right and head north up the Harlum River to Hudson then south under GW to Lady Liberty then back to Liberty Landing for lunch. Then back up the East river to hells gate and home. You can do it on a tank of fuel no problem or top off at liberty landing. Have fun.
