runnin the deleware river
 

seems like alot of performance boats out but nobody seems to hang out much. where,s the hot spots to hang and meet people? mark:drink:

West deptford and the Island @ National park . Low tide in front of Island is very popular because there is a sandy beach .Another spot is up north called Tully town , right next to a landfill , it is a real swamp up there in that cove . My Skater won't be ready till spring , I will give you gas money and show you around , been running that river for 20 years .

been to tully town area, not to nice i agree. there were a few guys there with sunsations but no one even gave us a wave. we usually go to the chesepeke . it seems that down there people invite you over to raft with them if your new. it would be nice to get a group of people together to do trips, poker runs etc. my email is [email protected]. lets get this rollin. mark

The Chesapeake is and has been my main boating area for 8 years now , Lloyd creek is my hangout . I live in Voorhees and once in a while go to the Del river , I can trailer my boat including a fuel stop and be in the water in a half hour . I know a few of those guy's with the Sunsations and the way they act you would think they drive an MTI !!! I think those Sunbunny's are over-rated high production boat with a stupid name !! One step above Bayliner

I Hate Poker runs ! Waste of Money and fuel !

poker runs are fun and you get to meet a ton of performance boat people. thats how we met alot of people on the cheseapeke. some are alittle pricy but you don,t have to run them all. we are on for sunday to the cheseapeke inn. anyones invited. we don,t have to run fast. we can set a pace thats good for everyone.:drink: mark

Hey Mark that place looks cool. I looked at Chesapeake Inn's website. Do you tie in and just hang at the bar. What happens there? Good bands during the day?

pat, we are going to try to get to the north east one more time this year. i will keep you posted. big poker run next weekend at the goose. also the offshore races at point pleasant beach. not sure what direction were headed yet....:eek: mark

mookymonkey- this has been my first year back on the river, I don't venture very far. Tullytown is a real popular spot. Can get pretty crowded, seems a lot of people go for one spot when you have the whole cove available. Plus water does has this swirling effect right when you come in on the right. Where you in the cove yesterday? We had a pretty nice raftup there right in the front. Saw a few checkmates come in I think. Started as just 4 boats tied up together, then another groups anchor broke free so they just ties up to us, overall had close to 10 boats tied up in the end. Knew less then half the people there. All you got to do is ask. Long as you have beer or food to share, your as good as gold. I have the red & black Formula that was on the one end.

cool, we will look you up next time . my checkmate is all white with green and yellow striping. we usually raft on the point down by curtins so we can have a view. will be at the offshores in point pleasent this weekend i think. what are your plans? mark
