Indeed I had the most experienced navigator in Charlie McCarthy with his local knowledge !!! And my son, Nick as the photogopher. We all had a great ride!! Thank you all for a day to remember. I would like to thank Mike at BLM. He ran a great poker run. Only thing that could make it better would be more boats.

What props and drives are you running? What RPM? Do use much tab at that speed?

built by me standard b1's into xr's 1.50 w/ nose cones.props i run are hydromotive 32 5 blades,rpm is around 4300-4400 there abouts and 90,91mph comes in around 5000

Jammin' 09-02-2009 07:17 AM

Have you used Bravo 1 props before? How do the Hydromotive props compare as far as carrying the bow and affecting the trim of the boat?

Thanks for the info. There aren't a whole lot of these boats out there running in that speed range to compare to.

i have a set of labbed 30 merc 5 blades that aren't cut down.there good too.i have enough power to carry the boat out of the water w/ just a slight tab to steady her.
theres video of me buzzing my beach at 90mph over on boatfreaks.

I find my boat is just running on the back extremities and needs a fair amount of tab to stay in the water. I'm changing the TRS drives to shorter Konrads this winter and that may help. I'm running 32 B1 props. It feels like I need more stern lift. It's so @ss heavy.

when i had trs's i had some 1 off hill props from some cat.big rounded ears,they lifted the boat real good.got 88mph out it w/ 530-535hp 454's.
wheres your prop shaft in relation to your hull bottom?

That's pretty incredible speed from that combo. I think my boat would be scary at that speed the way it is. I need to measure the X dim. I suppose they varied.

AIR TIME 03-22-2010 03:13 PM

arrr steve not sure my motor will be done in time for that run:party-smiley-004: but air 1 should be back running if air 2 is not:evilb:. you will have a ride by me or oct or mike cause his motors will be done on time, told Jim Ried sorry for straying. he did a good job on my motors but these guys take to much time some times and its just wrong. the guys in maine use a guy that tells you when to drop it off and he takes 3 weeks to do a motor and you better be there with money to get it or else haha. but I think Iam going to give jim my 509 to change the cam/ springs intake and dyno since its been sitting for 3 years even though it only has a few hours on it. I want to see if we can get closer to 700hp from the 670 its about at with the bigger carb. well will see in two weeks if the 572 is done or pushed back again:grinser010:.I now feel if you can't drive under 3 hours to check on your motors its not worth being up set no matter how good a guy is. its sad this motor started out to be so fun and is making me ill now:picard1::(:( what makes things suck more the guy I bought it from screwed me on shipping so local I will stay either maine or jim ried he did some nice blower motors for mike with the scarab ls 38. mike loves jims work Iwas up set by the time he took so maybe now will be better to get a contract writen and signed for so may weeks. I know if we ever took a order on a custom rug for 8 weeks and did not get it done by a few weeks later I would be eating the job:angry-smiley-038:. well Iam helping mike with the cape cod bay run in june just did a the miles for the stops later. art
