OK sounds good You guys wanna help organize it?

I have my hands full between my drag racing obligations, Construction work and selling turbos online but I think its a good project and if I had some help maybe we could get something going.

I know C has lots of time all summer. Nothing but time.

Sounds like a good idea but have to ask what would club do? Runs etc? Let me know got 2 friends in Branford who might be interested and at least 3-4 here in the Saybrook area.

Bacially what a club would do is notify of and organize events. Possibly be set up as a non profit which would allow: fund raisers and have get togethers for people of like passtimes. (In our case performance boating). Maybe do a little good in the comunity along the way too.

Some of the benefits might include giveways by maufactureres to club members, Raffle's, "group buy" purchases, member discounts at certain restaurants, member discounts at certain marinas or repair facilities.

It all depends on how strong the group gets and who wants our business.

we will likely need a board of governors to run the club, Have monthly meetings keep minutes etc.

It all depends on the club itself and how its set up.

A newsletter is the usual form of contact and members would be listed and phone numbers to allow people to get in touch with eachother a little more easily.

Its a big undertaking but it might make boating in CT a little more interesting and enjoyable.

I am totally game! This could start small here on the forum or we could use a tool like facebook. We could have some small gathering both out on the water or meet up for lunch and drinks one weekend to brainstorm.
I think it could really turn into something very enjoyable. Let me know how I can help.
