I still have to work out a couple more details to close the deal. I want to make sure it has a fresh tuneup/oil change and full tank of gas. So far he's pushing back with nothing more than fresh wax... I'm thinking I might just have to come down a little more on the price. I think we're about two weeks out on closing the deal...

Jeff, I would say 2 footers. Alittle calmer in spots. Frank called me when he got back to Old Saybrook and said 4 footers on his way back. We left a couple hrs later than him, so it must have died down. Still a fun ride.

Big enough to be fun, but not too big to make it miserable! On our way over we were in 2' - 2.5', with an occasional 3' thrown in for good measure. On our way back, most of that was around 1' - 2', the bigger water being closer towards the LI side. We passed frank going out of LI on our way in so he and us had been in the same water. I dont think it was 4 fter all the time, but there were some BIG holes for sure. I was drinking some water to the tune of 1 gallon buckets and that doesnt happen to easy in a sutphen 31 with a MR MGOO windshield.LOL

I was soaked I took so much salt water in the eyes I almost couldnt see going into the gut.LOL
It was partially the angle of the waves and the wind together. Waves were crossing starbard bow to port stern Wind was hitting us at starbord bow and we were splitting some of the holes over the bow tip. I didnt really have allot of tabs in it either just before neutral. Running maybe 35 to 45 MPH through it IMO It was actually a really fun run through just WET. My brother went through 15 minutes before in his 32 fountain fever and got totally soaked! |
