Would have liked to have made it this year but it is the same weekend as the air show in Portsmouth. Alot of great things going on that weekend.

Reg in mail today.

Some of you CT guys who are complaining about teh Old Saybrook price should try this one. I've never been, but $200 for up to 4 people including dinner, docking all weekend and a T-shirt for the captain sounds like a good deal to me!

Hey Pete! Looking forward to it... One item though.. I believe the $200 includes you and a passenger.. The rest need to pay either $20 or $25 each unless they changed it this year.. But still for the run, it is extremely reasonable for such a GREAT time!

$200 up to 4 is what the flyer said with a $25 fee for add'l people. It says it includes 1 dinner, so I'm not sure if that is just the driver, or one dinner per person. Also includes complementary cookout and cocktails. Either way, it sounds like a good deal to me. Looking forward to this one.

I'll ge there early on Friday along with you so we can get the boats in and chill by the pool. Russ is confirmed! Willy coming?

Sick Stinger 07-19-2011 10:45 AM

Ill be down friday night with or with out my sh!t can to help people tie up dock and so on.

GREAT... I must have read it wrong... that helps me for sure... I actually will have an entirely different crew this year.. I may have a total of 5 on board.

Me (of course)
Les - my Navy test pilot buddy going to school at the Naval War College in Newport, so easy ride for him.
Chris - a good friend I grew up with
Brian - did the Fall River Run with my last year
Bob - You know Bob from Jammin he was the one with the 22 Donzi

Should be a great time.. I usually drop in then have lunch at the Tipsy Seagull.. I plan on running to Newport to take a coworker for a ride but nothing major usually on Friday...

Its all inside running. It goes from Fall River to Prov to Warwick, Newport for lunch, Bristol, then back to Fall River. I think 30+ boats this year.

Ehhh not so sure about that. It can get rough but nothing like the ocean or LIS.

Sick Stinger 07-19-2011 02:35 PM

Kev Scot come on up. Might as well use them up here plus after the run on sunday take a blast to Block its on 35 miles to the inlet of block. I would say Newport area gets pretty snotty with all the traffic you get a good amount of washer machine. You can run out side from beaver tail around back into Newport if you want also.
OCD as for the engine nothing to to major just needs new Crank, 2 new Rods and another fresh rebuild after 1 hour of running.

Yikes.. sorry to hear... Like I said you are always welcome aboard. I have a pretty full crew but could always use a good navigator if a spot opens up! Either way I look forward to seeing ya.

Keep your head up Mike !
Better days are coming. If it wasn't challenging we wouldn't be doing it. It's the money part that gets tough after awhile tho..

Here's a start from another yr. i taped. For those that haven't been it's a great run.

There were apparently 42 last year, So I would say Dan is on the right track with 30+, maybe there will even be more than last year...wouldn't that be nice.

Me and Sick go way back. We've done the CT River run together, just never got up close to shake hands. I already have one offer from slboatdrinks to be my navigator, but right now I have 4 or 5 people, so I'm pretty full.
