They are IMO compared to ****ty XR's or plain Jane Bravos! But I agree with what you're saying. ;)

Not really.....they're not better. Id much rather have an XR sporty over a Bmax!

The uppers are nearly as strong as a NXT, the lowers are basically a stock bravo lower. They give up some speed due to the size of the upper gear, etc, but if you're runing decent size power, the Bmax will hold up a LOT better than a Merc bravo based/geared drive.

Scot a few nice Sonic 38's in the Classys under 120.

The uppers are not even close to an NXT. Talk to all the people that blow them the same as an XR and loose alot of mph.

The uppers are much closer in capacity to the NXT than the bravos. The newer Bmax's are decent drives, way more beefy than the run of the mill bravo.

Ok, ok, boys. Fight nice. NOw Im curious too. Who has proof to back up their statement that a BMAX drive is a stronger/weaker drive than a Mercury XR drive? If Dans right, this could change your next purchase Scot! On the other hand, I believe the old Bravo Shop is under new ownership and specializing in the BMAX drive and getting rave reviews....:party-smiley-004:

I tend to agree on the XR sporty....I can hear the *****ing start lol but again you couldn't pay me to run anything but a #6....or if I were going massive, I'd hit BPM or Arnenson

yup, but i think he had a deposit on it and the guy never came up with the money. so the price may have changed in the last couple of days. heres another question, would you buy it for $75k??????? if your answer is yes, do what I would do. he already said $85k on the phone, so go to the bank, and send a check for $75K......hes crazy if he doesnt take it in this market. real money talks right now, not some BS over the phone IMO

Yeah if you really want something CHEAP you show up with CASH in hand and the guy will take it!. I know $75 K in cash is a hand full but if you want it cheap you gotta do it.

I have a guy I know who buys classic cars and he never goes without a brown paper bag full of cash, I have seen him with 60K in a shopping bag.LOL

Its hysterical, but he gets deals they tell everyone else NO on.
