Im sure im too loud, people tell me they can hear me coming before they see me..... This is the land of a thousand lakes, i'll just find another one.:lolhit:

We got pulled over last year for going 52 mph (speed limit is 45) and for running at 92 db, when the limit is 90db. They are very strict about it.
Obviously, obey the law and all that, but we're going to get a radar detector for the boat... haha ;) |

My Fountain Ex 496's with gibsons just make it. They are very strict. If you pull into the village,Bolton, the bay's You will be tested & ticketed. If they see you again after you get a ticket, they boot you off the lake! The speed limit is 45 mph,and now they use radar!. I got stopped last year doing 60 in a rain storm. He did let me go with a warning. I just use my pontoon boat most of the time, No hassles. It's really too bad because it's absolutely beautiful up there. I picked up my boat from Lake George and spent a weekend up there boating. The village is cool as heck and there was a nice classic car show. What a great little get-away. |

What a shame. It hardly seems worth it if this is the case. I couldn't imagine dealing with this regularly. Who needs the headache?

Actually, for the amount of time we spend going over 45mph, we rarely get pulled over. I think it was only twice for speeding this year... And we go out every weekend, if not more. Once you get north of the narrows its a clean section for going fast, with pretty much no obstructions and I've never seen police shooting radar there. Right around Bolton and the village is the place to worry about, along the west coast. I'm not sure about way up north near Hague though, I don't usually go up there.

They are looking for loud and fast boats. However, I agree with CarGuy08, absolutely beautiful and worth the potential aggravation.
Where did you get stopped for 60mph? They have been shooting radar from the Boathouse area. Usually 1 cop south,1 cop North. Sucks.Like I said.I just use my pontoon boat most of the time. The Fountain comes out at happy hour:drink: |

Who are you!? I've seen you posting here for years,
but for the life of me, I can't figure out who you are. Anthony DB. I think we have some mutual friends, but we have never been formally introduced. See you on the lake this year. |
