I had Seafarer Canvas redo all my vinyl in the fall. I'm not sure what kind of repair you're thinking, but they're in Norwalk so may be convenient for you. Did excellent work and it was fast.

Yea seemed to be...relatively. Price wasn't much different than a few other quotes I got but they were more professional. They were the only ones who had a nice website with pics and info, got back to me right away with quotes, no b.s. I called other places and got the usual dysfunction...i.e. no call backs, pulling teeth to get an answer, wishy-washy quotes, couldn't see any of their work, etc. I went out of my way to go down there (which sucks I hate 95) because they handled it like they wanted business not like they were doing me a favor. They didn't seem too interested in any major foam re-forming or modifications, but for recovering and standard upholstery work it came out nice...tight, re-foamed, straight lines/seams, etc.

Oh yea almost a deal-breaker for me they don't do embroidery. I was thinking about doing a logo on my hatches and they said no... I decided against it anyway but i'm sure you could have it sent out and send it back to them for re-assembly.

That's all

OH man they must be good they have a web site!

We see that with builders all the time good quality builders who dont hammer people on pricing, dont spend allot of moneyor time on web sites, then you get some crap builers like Pulte or toll brothers with a good website and they sell a ton of houses. people dont know there wrok sucks until the own the house , Too late!

People who are true craftsmen dont always have good websites, many times they dont need them because they have word of mouth to rely on.:drink:

I dont know who did John, the guy with the 38 sutphen, interior but they were inexpensive and the work was really good. I do think it was down off of 95 so maybe it was the same company your going to use.

Obviously a website doesn't necessarily mean $hit, but in this case, it got my attention enough to establish that this company was worth considering. It showed tons of examples of big high-end boats, nice work, and nice facilities. Not guarantees of anything, i know, but indications that they might know what they're doing.

I always take people's referrals first, and this project was now exception, ask Frank. In this case the referrals I got either didn't get back to me for weeks, required several callbacks, and didn't even want to quote exact numbers or a lead time. I dont think I should have to work that hard to pay them to do something.

Not saying the quality or workmanship of anyone else is better/worse, but these guys handled my job in a professional manner, did what they said they were going to do, and it looks good....and the only reason I knew they were there was because of the website. Just sayin.
