CPBA finally does it!
The CPBA is planning its first formal (casual) event. Anyone who is considering joining the CPBA is invited to join the current members for a lunch/social to see what the club is about. Boats are optional for this event. Come down and meet some representatives from the club and share ideas.
See the link for more information. http://cpba.weebly.com/events-schedule.html Thanks, we hope to see you on Saturday, May 14th! |

should be a good day on the water, If anyone wants to run together C and I may be out on the water that day before the get together at the shack!
You can even put in down that way and just go out for a freindly cruise with C guiding the way, he knows those waters very well and we have run them together before and had alot of fun. Maybe a quick blast over to The thimbles or something. |
Is it Saturday May 14th or Sunday May 15th? The link says Saturday the 15th....

The CPBA will be meeting for "lunch" at the Bruce and Johnson's Brewers Yard in Branford (aka the Dockside Restaurant) at 1:00 for an introductory social. The tide is low at about 3:00 and Branford's ramp is tricky then. We figure we'd meet around 10:30, take a cruise around the Thimbles, then meet up for lunch. After lunch, a quick burst to New Haven would be the second run of the day. By the time we get back to the ramp the tide will be favorable. Then we'd trailer back to the marina/bar for some stories, etc. Everyone out of the water by 5:00, with plenty of time to enjoy the evening. Bob P. has a 31' Larson there and is willing to host the BYOB crowd that evening. Remember, you don't need a boat to meet up. Come early or come late. Lunch or dinner, Christian will be there all day and night to accept applications from new members. Look for the Sutphen and the Larson on "F" dock. Remember all new members get a free CPBA decal or classic CPBA T-shirt.
