It's 38 miles. It is a 30min to an hour trip depending on speed and how fast you can drink a beer

I hate to be to be Debbie Downer but it will be next to impossible to get any space over there on Saturday...especially if the weather is good. It is always packed there as it is deemed the last good weekend of boating. I would try to make an arrangement ahead of time otherwise you may be drifting around and driving around looking for a place. If someone had a mooring that would be ideal, but even then the harbor patrol will not allow a big raft for the busy traffic weekend. A lot of people will bring there boats out on the beginning of the week and takevrhe ferry home and then back over for the weekend just so they get a spot. Just saying I would not venture over and blow $400+ worth of fuel without a good plan.

I ran from East Greenwich RI to Montauk this past Sunday . It was a good run although a little rough .
If anyone is running out of RI let me know .

All good points Debbie. Especially with this weekend being a wash out, everyone will be looking for that one last long weekend. Something to look into.....thanks Deb :drink:

Debbie is right. We need to get a feel for how many people are truely interested in staying the night. I can make some calls and see what the scope is, but I need some rough numbers to throw them...

I'm thinking running out Sat AM and returning Sunday afternoon. Who's in?

Sick Stinger 08-25-2011 07:16 AM

I can ask my Mom is she can call the Ballards boys as she insures them and the only reason they have insurance is due to her fighting for them as they arnt the brights batch of Seaman if you get the pun.
