It's a 1-day sale so it's a good chance to stock up on belts, oil, plugs, carbides, helmets, gear, SLEDS, etc. All BRP and Klim gear will be on sale, plus big savings in our Clearance area. Even if you don't need anything it's worth the trip to check out the new stuff, check out the free swap meet, bring your own stuff to try to sell, get some free food, and get ready for snow!

Ok shameless plug over, have fun while I'm gone! The boat's not winterized yet so maybe when i'll get back i'll rip it one more time.

BTW, hit up the open house and saw a lot of cool stuff, even ended up buying some gear at a nice discount. I wish I had brought a change of cloths so that I could have gone mud bogging. Going to see what kind of interest there is in my '05 F-Cat 600 so that I can get myself into something newer.

Liquid Image Goggle Cam

I figured I'd bring this thread back to hold us over til we can ride, check the youtube link out.

It's not quite snowmobiling, but if you use your imagination it's not too far off... Imagine some snow, some bumps, and about 130 more horsepower and snowmobiling is kinda like this. It's a goggle cam video of my ride home on my DRZ Supermoto. The bike is a 35 HP single cylinder liquid cooled 4-stroke, but it's fun as hell!

I'll have to post some snow videos when the time comes.

the camera's pretty sweet too:

I'm a dealer. The 720P (what I used in the above video) is $249, the 1080P version is $399. The $99 and up ones are for underwater and wouldn't work for powersports.

The bike? It's the most fun toy I've ever had except my last XRS. It's street legal, has real sticky streetbike tires and huge brakes, but it's essentially a dual sport dirt bike. So it's fun as hell on really twisty ****ty roads. Jumps, potholes, dirt, etc. dont phase it.

And best of all it's only 35 horse so it governs me a little :coolcowboy:

Don't forget to take my tools out of Pams car.

Gladhe8er 11-28-2011 11:44 AM

I know Noyzee was riding around in NH this weekend. Anybody else?

I dropped my sled off at Land N Sea for its pre-season work on Saturday. Sold one of my Dad's sleds yesterday too.

The 800 went? Did he get close to what he was asking?

Biggus 11-28-2011 01:33 PM

We woke up to 12-14" on Thanksgiving morning. -Got a quick 20 mile ride through the local state park. Sure feels good to be back on the sled:drink:

Yeah. We had agreed on a fair price, but when the buyer showed up with his buddy, he pointed out to a 18" section of track that was toast, so had to knock $400 off the price. The track is one good top end pull away from getting chit out the snowflap.

The state park is open for riding in the winter? Might just have to drag my 800 up that way :drink:

bwd 12-03-2011 08:05 AM

Do these count?

The only riding I do is a yearly putt up at the antique sled meet in NH or occasional grudge match in my yard with an old buddy. We go at it into the night , round and round till the neighbors can the cops. The bike is my favorite CHEAP fun. 10 bucks worth of gas and you can go 100 all day:-) with good ice. I went to Gennis pond, in Northwood a few years back for Radar runs, what a hoot. Good people up there.

....not exactly sure if it's legal but I've been playing in there for years. You rarely see anyone in there in the winter.

You should think about riding up here sometime, the local trails are incredible. ITS89-80 are usually very well groomed. The clubs do a fantastic job.

bwd 12-04-2011 08:51 AM

The trailtwister was owned by my neighbor Billy Pecukonis who passed recently. He used to take me up to Epping with it once and a while for the grass drags when I was young 12/13.
I got it from Trenholm a few years back. The Snowtwister I,ve had for 15 yrs off and on. I sold it once to Glenn Trenholm blown up for 300 bucks when I was moving to Vail to ski. Came back and he soaked me for 5 in the same condition 2 yrs later, Funny chit, after the fact. Both run great.
I usually take the bike down to the lake for an hour or so if the ice is good, but its not the same anymore without all the gear heads all over. I just go to make my hands shake a bit on a nice afternoon. People usually call the cops if I hang around too long, Sad.

noyzee 12-05-2011 12:41 PM

ran gras yesterday, had a blast. my 800 rev ran like a top!!

Some pretty good battles in the middle/end of this one...

Beaters are cool! That video makes me want to pick a couple up and build a track around our Lake George house.

Is that you with the helmet cam on? If so, nice digger into the woods while your sled got T-boned!

Where was this? I am going to Canada tomorrow for my first ride this year(first ride in CAn ever too).

Audiofn 02-07-2012 07:25 AM

I am probably going for a ride this weekend up in Maine. Going to go to my house and see were we head from there. Probably going to have to go about 1 1/2 - 2 hours north from my place.
