What were you using on Sunday for a gps? In the video it looks like we were were slowing down as you started filming. My guess is that this might have been near the no wake zone that you blew thru.

I will believe you up to 77-78 mph but 83...I'll need to see it to believe it. When everyone was wot, you were certainly walking away...to the tune of 12 mph walking away?? Eh to me felt like you had 6-7 mph on us. I could def be wrong but 12 mph is a lot. You would have been out of sight pretty quickly if that was the case.

Justin, since Moby has run in the mid to low 80's in stagnate water, and Moby has proven to be a mph or two faster than flipper on its best day, it stands to reason that Flipper running down the river with an out going tide and only two people on board should be able to run 83 all day long under these conditions. Now back up the river going against the tide... I'd call BS on seeing 83 under those conditions.

If it was me, and there was no one on board to back the 83 MPH claim up, I would have MADE SURE there was a pics of the GPS reading 83. Especially cause everyone was on his azz all summer about the speeds the boat runs, that would have put this to rest once and for all. Now, the ball breaking will continue all winter on the 78 MPH green house! Hahahaha!

A side note Jeff, the boat really looked good running on Sunday and in the vids I got, it looks like it was running all of 80 ;)

SS930 10-25-2011 07:21 AM

Well I could be wrong... I was talking with Jeff's brother and he also said Flipper wont run over 80mph. I would have thought with only two people on board, running down river with a strong current, tide going out, etc that it would have run 83, but apparently not.
