Thank-you Sick Stinger!
Thanks very much for your help Mike! One word: persistence
For those not there, I asked Mike to help me by bringing his truck to hitch up my Cafe from BLM and drop it in at the town ramp a mile away. Well, the boat was tightly wedged into the indoor warehouse storage and BLM wasn't going to be able to get me out until Monday as its the busy season. I was ready to abort the mission several times - Mike kept adapting the strategy until we got it out (without damage). Out of the warehouse, but not out of the woods.... At the ramp, the HP500s were a little tricky to start for the first time. No fuel to the carb. Persistence, some fuel mouthwash and an eyebrow or two later, they roared. I really appreciate your help Mike and sorry you were 2-3 hours late for your appointment. Here's a video from our test run Saturday: Link THANKS!!!! |

Now he's gonna come in here, call you a bunch of names and tell you off just to keep his reputation lol. But yes he is the most persistent person I've ever met. Sometimes he keeps going when taking a step back and rethinking may work better but hey can't have it all! Glad to see its running, give me a call this week.

I thought he might not like that. Tough.
Thanks Jamie - just sent a PM. |
Yup, he's a good little person... even if he acts like a troll sometimes. :D

I apologize for the shaky video, shouldn't be a problem after April 28th... I'll post the link of another test run hopefully to happen next saturday.

Mike is one of nicest stand up guys I know. He always has a spot on OCD
|
Chris, boat runs great and handles the rough very well. Theres been a lot of debate between bravos or trs' on a cafe. Id say its surprisingly even. Once we get the carbs cleaned up we'll have it idling like a dream. It's great having mike work on this stuff with me, he fits in all the little places I don't!
|
To be continued. And it's having you work with me get it straight.

You guys are funny. Next time you're both working on it, I want to video it for laughs. The CT BS thread will have a field day. :lolhit:
|
Chris happy to help anything you need or anyone else I live for boating. As for being late to bad he waited
|
Very true, you set this one up so I guess I was working with you. Do I get extra points for opening my eyes and finding the hose and clamps??? Actually Chris when were working on something it's down to business and there's not much ball busting. Whether I'm helping him or he's helping me, we work together very well.
