September 8th hosted at a NEW place, "Indigo by the water" in Milford Harbor!

This will be the final NPBA poker run of this 2012 season!!!! Lets get as many boats as we can!

Hey Everyone...

The NPBA along with VIllage Marina are having the 2nd annual Poker Run in Milford, CT.. on Saturday Sept. 8th.

We have a great facility here with Boat ramp and docks across from each other.

Milford's newest Restaurant - Indigo by the Water with their fabulous deck overlooking the water and outrageous drinks and South Beach Miami theme is our Hot Spot for the event.

This is one of those big dollar fancy runs where everybody on the boat joins the club, I didn't make the cut either lol

......planning on dropping in early Saturday morning in Mt. Sianai L.I. and heading straight to Milford for the run...... as long as my schedule stays clear for Saturday I'll be there.....

Yeah same here npba runs are too rich for my blood. Just entering the run is 3 weeks of boating fuel for me

As for the price, is $250 that bad ? What do the other runs cost ?

Wasn't the old saybrook run $400 plus $20 each passenger, plus everyone spends $20 to join npba plus lunch?

It's $250 plus $20 per crew member...thus a 5 man crew would be $350. And reading the entry form all participants must be npba members which is $25 more per person. All of a sudden the event is $475 plus food and the intangibles.

No comment on price, everyone already knows my opinion :party-smiley-004:

ROCK THE BAY was $400 but it cost $200 in tolls and $200 in truck fuel and $600 in boat gas and $1,000 for the call ---- and $20 for rubbers and a new hat was $20 4 cans of soda was $5 extra t shirts was $200 and docking $100 and but i won $400 AND HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE!:thankyouthankyou:PRICELESS

YEAH BABY !!! That's what it's all about....... sounds similiar to my Manhasset Bay Run....$1200 winnings - Entrance - gas -food - 1 retired prop - other incedentalls = lot's of fun...... you know what they say "you have to pay to play"..........

Well you guys have fun paying that much to play! I didn't spend that much any month of the summer and have had plenty of fun! To each there own

Reduced to get a better turn-out I would imagine.

I get what your saying lil red.... I have as much fun on a weekend when I go a 1/4 mile from my marina, burn no gas, and raft up all day with my family and friends. But I don't mind spending a few extra bucks a few times a season to run with other boats in an organized event. For the extra $$, you get a chance at winning some $$, a helicopter taking video and pictures, and the conveinance of not having to organize the run (HEADACHES). As a matter of fact at the Manhasset run I ended up wining best hand and after all my expenses to do the run that day I ended up a little ahead, and I've never ended up ahead on a boat day ever before.....lol. My pay to play is referring more to Yeah Baby's call**** and the rubbers........... But in actuality everyone here who owns a boat pays to play........ at least a little bit.......

sorry to say I won't make the run today......but seeing that it may be 5' seas makes me not feel as bad...... Anyone running today be safe out there......... good luck and enjoy the day.......
