New England Surveyer?
 

Could anyone recommend a surveyer in the Maine/Nh area? Thanks.

I'm gonna need one soon too. -In Maine

Haven't met a good one yet up here, I do pre purchase inspections to whatever extent the buyer wants but am not a certified surveyor for insurance purposes.

The last person I used which probably goes back 10 years was Richard W. Brendlinger Marine Surveyor, PO Box 1224, Newport, RI. 02840, 401/423-2774. His e-mail is/was [email protected]. On the last page of my survey he had listed 2 organizations that he was a member of. If this guy is no longer around this may help you find somebody. Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors and American Boat and Yacht Council.

Did you check those 2 groups that he was a member of? Chances are pretty good they exist and have a list of accredited people

Yup, I was familiar with SAMS so I took a look at the Maine and Nh members, read som bios, made a call and got pretty lucky talking to a guy down in Nh who has some good contacts for one of the boats I'm looking at.
