Re: Chicago question
Hay, Inland Harbor is an interesting place to stay. Good for scenery and a show. If hunger strikes, Freddy's, Port and the Marine Grill are only a hop, skip and jump away!!! Ha, Ha Chain o' Lakes humor.

I would forgo the steak for Italian, I wish MI had Italian resturants like they have in Chicago. There is a piano bar I like call Redheads, older crowd smoky but very city like and busy. Just walk the heart of MI Ave. and of course check out the intersection of Division and Rush lots going on there some of my favorite Italian places are near there. Are you a member of AYC, there are a few yacht clubs on the water you can check out, one is on an old boat, if you are interested I will try to find the name. Too much to do so little time, you should stay over Saturday night. So you have a GF is that why you are MIA here :D
1) No... the company is only paying for the Milwaukee part. I just figured that if I am driving through Chicago on a Friday night I should stop. 2) Yep. I am a member of AYC times 2. (BVYC and ORYC) 3) The GF in question is an old friend. Nothing new or exciting. Not that she isn't nice... but she is more friend than GF. You may still feel free to hook me up if you have any friends who like tall, intelligent, talented, funny guys who have dedicated their lives to making things better for sick and injured kids. Yeah I know. Makes me sick too. :) 4) Why am I MIA from OSO? I used to post from work when I worked under an idiot. I had to kill some time or else I would run circles around him and freak him out. But then they fired him and promoted me beyond him. Way beyond him. Ok... so enough about me.... keep those Chicago trip tips comin. :D |

Fund sorry for all the questions, I just have an inquisitive mind :p Congratulations on the promotion, hopefully it came with a nice raise :D and you can keep the boat |
Re: Chicago question
I'd probably go the way Mark suggested and stay somewhere on Michigan ave. You can walk up and down Michigan and find lots of things. Lots of good restaurants are hidden around the corners in that area.
you have: Bandera Restaurant Cafe Spiaggia The Grill on the Alley ( in the Westin hotel) Oak Tree Signature Room most of these are all located North of the river...but easily walked to :D And if you feel like walking a few block off Michigan theres the ESPN room, Webber Grill, Pizzaria UNO, California Pizza Kitchen.....lots of others to choose from. |

Thank you on the congrats. The boat has been taken off of the market. Maybe I will sell it in the spring and buy a 31. :D |
Re: Chicago question
The best hotels to stay at in Chicago are the Peninsula or the Four Seasons, they are both $$$$ but they are the best. There are other hotels on the Magnificent Mile that are also nice you can find on expedia etc. If you want a view go the bar on the 96th floor of the Hancock A drink will cost $8 but the observation deck would as well and the ticket doesn;t include a drink :drink: Spiagga is a great Italian restaurant with a great view of Lake Michigan. For a Chicago dining experience you can go to Uno or Due Pizzeria for Chicago Deep dish. Some people prefer Gino's East but Due is my favorite. Billy Goat's is the "Cheebugger Cheebugger Cheep." place on lower Michigan Avenue. For an authentic Chicago Hot Dog you can go with Portillo's or Gold Coast dogs on Lincoln avenue for a "Char Dog"
