Want. to try to head to Chicago the weekend before or after the 4th for the first time from New Buffalo. Which would be the better weekend and what is going on.

Just pick the best weather and go. there is always something going on.

As far as something organized, I don't think anything is happening...check the board here to see where people are going to be. There's a party in the Playpen (north of Navy Pier) just about every weekend, just bring fenders if you want to raft in.

I know where Anderson is! Went to school in Muncie...BSU.

Got to be careful running over. Check the weather, have your ducks in a row. I usually go with at least 1 other boat. I boat out of Michigan City if you are ever over that way. The fire works on Michigan City are the weekend after the 4th. I will be on the Pond the 5th -8th.

Might have to hook up with you then (5-8) sometime...I'm off from the 4th thru the 9th....think the boat will still be in MI, though, maybe you could head north and we'll meet halfway.

Sounds good. Maybe I'll tow up that way?? Lets talk when it gets closer. Anywhere good to overnight up that way??
