Day on a dyno
3 Attachment(s)
Spent saturday at Wesco's shop with Dave breaking in and fine tuning our nitrous engine. 565 cu. in. conventional headed motor.
1st pull was real lean, shut it down at 6300, did like 790 something hp. After a dozen pulls, making changes after each one, we netted 991 hp @ 7000 rpm. Towards the end, we ran the engine to 8200, but for whatever reason we could not fix, the printer only printed results to 7000 rpm. Every pull showed the highest hp at 7000, even tho we ran it past 8000. Hopefully maybe monday we'll get the rest of the results from 7000 to 8200. Sure would like to know where it peaked at This was on gas, no nitrous hooked up, with a real serious nitrous camshaft. Did'nt expect such good #'s on nuts alone. Can't wait to see what it does when we end up hitting it with a 46 nitrous jet. (600-650 hp) shot. :D http://media.putfile.com/dyno-Kara A few pics from the day.
