Just got back from a quick Ozark Trip (1 Day). Now that is a nice body of Water. Large, open and lots of room.:rolleyes:

What is amazing about the chain is there is a about a three hour window every week that is really busy. Sunday 1:30-4:30 only on nice days. Saturday's are great, Weekdays you will be by yourself and Sunday mornings nobody. During peak time which is way down this year it get's a little crazy. Of course Lake Michigan is nice if you like to be by yourself boating. Few places to go, little to look at and nobody to race. That gets boring to me after an hour. But I still enjoy the change of pace on Lake Michigan and the Chain.

Brad you need to make a few phone calls before you go out! We always have a group from 2-6 boats that either go up to Racine for just lunch or futher to Milwaukee. Heck just two weeks back a group went up to Shoboygan for the weekend.

Well I wish I would have met all these nice people pior to dealing with all this BS.

Tell the Mrs you want one more try with the boat....you just need to find the right group to hang with....i have weeded out more then a few "friends" that have shown thier true colors through out the boating years....its down to a hand full i can call on and know i can trust on the boat with me....and on the flip side.....i have met a HUGE amount of great people to go boating with!! Hell come to the Chicago poker run this Friday or Sat just to meet people...youll see how it should be among fellow boaters! :D

But then I would have to slow down? Racine is 10 mintuies for me. :evilb:
