We're just three weeks away.
Getting pretty excited over here.
We've got some great entertainment lined up to go with the great racing. Block parties both Friday and Saturday night with live bands and food and beer, etc ...
Chuck Wells and Stone COld Blues from Louisville/Bowling Green Kentucky playing Friday night and Midwest Hype from Chicago playing Saturday night, all right in the park at the race site. Both bands are amazing and will knock your socks off.
We also have some VIP packages available. They get you VIP parties on Friday and Saturday evening before the bands play, as well as a tented VIP brunch on the beach on Sunday.
AJust a lot of great stuff planned all weekend.
Hope to see you all there Aug. 7-9.

Called the Michigan City port authority this am. I was told that they are not going to put in the boat show piers for the race. Someone mentioned that they might consider doing this, so I just wanted to let everyone know that this is not an option.

Check out the link below. I know our local agency that is putting this on is doing a horrible job of putting the word out about the race. I just hope they come back again next year.

What more would you have us do to promote the race?
I'd love any suggestions.

We're having a boat parade down Franklin Street at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by a racer/VIP event at McGinnis Pub from 5 to 7. Then there's a public block party with live music, beer tent, etc., Friday night from 7 to 11. Chuck Wells and Stone Cold Blues, a super tight blues band from the Louisville area, will be playing.
Saturday we've got a classic car show planned at the race site from noon to 4 followed by a racer/VIP party at Blue Chip Casino from 5 to 7. Then another block party with the Chicago band Midwest Hype playing from 7-11.
All of this block party stuff is at Washington Park.
Sunday we'll have a tented VIP brunch at the race site beginning at 11 with seating under the tent all day.
And remember, except for the VIP stuff, the whole event is free of charge, save for a parking fee to get into the park if you don't have a parking sticker.
If not, we're running a free shuttle with free parking from Marquette Mall, 4073 S. Franklin ST.
