Default WTB: 25-29' boat locally

Hi, I`m a boat newb
Everything I find seems to be 5-6 hrs. away...
These are two boats I`m looking at right now:
http://www.boattrader.com/listing/photos/95208461/
That one is 5 hours away.
The other on is:

A bit older, not sure if that makes such a big difference, but I`m weary about the Jasper rebuilt 502 in it. I don`t want something that`s gonna blow up in a month.

They are in my price range and size, I`m in Aurora and would trailer this to the Lake, then to the beach at Hammond.
If anyone sees something please let me know my wife has spent hours.. no wait days on the web looking.. we have seen one boat

It was SUPER clean but he won`t budge at all on the price and it`s a 20 year old boat .. but everything has been replaced, don`t know if that makes up for it.

Any feedback is appreciated.

BTW, anyone know Rob Brightly usually has a BMAC banner on his boat..?? just thought i`d ask

Mine's for sale, and I think it's probably more desireable than those two, by a long shot.

I have a 97 280 Velocity that I may be looking to sell. Looking at going to a bigger boat. Not sure of what your looking to spend though. It has a 500HP with a 256 blower on it. If your interested shoot me an email and I can get some pics. for ya. [email protected]

There's a decent Checkmate 253 with a 500 HP and a 2000 29 Scarab both at Grand Sport Center in Lake in the Hills probalby close or just above your budget. Keep an eye on their web site or give them a call.

You do want the most fiberglass you can afford for lake Mi.

The cushions on the checkmate are a bit messed up from the pics .. the Scarab is a bit more than i want to spend.. unless they drop the price but it seems well priced already.

I`m in HVAC so now we`re swamped, may be a couple of weekend before I can get out to Grand Sport to take a peek.
Thanx for the heads up thou

"Hot Factory Spring" is generally called Boater's Beach 'round these parts.
