A couple of big fast boats out testing today! There's going to be a lot of spectators for a first-time event. Not bad for an event that we just got the final approval/permits a couple months ago. A ton of work has gone into the organizing to make this possible. It's going to be a great show, and most of all a lot of fun,. Can't wait till tomorrow to see what kind of numbers get put down.

Had a great yesterday! Not bad for a first time try. Thanks to everyone who put this event on. I'm sure it was a ton of work to get this thing done. Hopefully this will get bigger and more fast boats will show up next year. Thanks again! Dave

I did run. I was ruuning the 36 Talon cat with triple 330 mercs. For a first year event it was big success. Next year promises to much better. The NIOC board members worked very hard to pull this off. A special thanks to the many volunteers who helped with patrol, registration, radar boat and the start barge.

Any details? How did the Talon run. I assume that is the boat out of Texas that Shogren ended up with? What boats ran? Any pics?

This is a really good vid. You can't imagine the walk down memory lane it was for me. I miss the crystal-brown water. The Island was always fun. I have a close friend who is the sound tech out there now, I'd really be interested in knowing how the 36 Talon ran. I always liked that boat
