Well if they do have there own Worlds I hope they have enough sence to not have it the same dates as SBI/APBA Worlds so they can have a bigger turn out.....

US Offshore was formed in 1992; and DPT is right, the last thing offshore needs right now is another sanctioning body.

I do, but it seems that just about all the players of that game have since folded and no longer hold an interest in putting on OS races...
No need to rehash the history aspect of it.
Let's look to the future and see if anyone can top the 2004 Worlds!!! :drink: :drink: :drink:

OSS will NOT be in Key West this year to race with SBI. OSS is already in talks with several sites. It was a unanimous vote from all the teams to NOT race there. We All like KW and are sad that it cannot work out this year but the time was ticking away with no communication. This is NOT up for discussion to be changed again this year. Sorry it came to this, but best of luck to all, no matter where you choose to race.

Its what the Prarie Dog is all about....Now the next question will be since OSS is so concerned about the racers...will they schedule there Worlds on the same weekend as SBI/APBA's Worlds...

I would have to say it will be on the same week as SBI. OSS racers have planned on that week since the schedule was released and will try to not change dates where possible. The racers in OSS are ALL OK with this week and don't have a problem with picking which organization to run with. No one was told they have to race with OSS or else. Everyone has a choice where they want to race for the worlds. The only people that get the shaft on the whole thing will be the town of Key West and all the fans that now have to pick where they want to go.
Phantom, Why doesn't this thread make any sense to you? Its black and white now. There is no more gray area with UIM rules and qualifying with SBI. Like you all said before (here are the rules of SBI if you want to race in KW!) Just maybe now you believe me when I said most teams wont do the 2 race min. to qualify. I may be one of the few that post in OSS but I do know how the majority feel about racing.

KEY WEST GETS SCREWED BECAUSE THE PRARIE DOG KING WILL NOT ATTENTED.....GET OVER IT....KEY WEST HAD A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2 YEARS AGO WITH 28 TO 30 BOATS AND THEY SAID IT WAS GREAT....LIFE DOSE GO ON WITHOUT YOU P.D.

Larry...I understand....along with some SV and some SCL and other class's...Its just my tought...I think it would have been great for all of us to race in Key West, But it looks like it won't happen....but if 65+ boats show it dosn't mean it will suck for the racers and the fans....No one should bust OSS Worlds for there turn out and no one should bust SBI's and maybe next year we will all race the same Worlds....

Hey Ron, I'll cover KW for you if you want to go to the OSS Worlds :D I'll even wear the big straw hat and take a few boat rides just like you :drink:

Hey Ted, nice offer would you really go out of your way like that? What a bud!

My friends want to go back to Key West again too AND they want to see all the boats, especially the big boats run. Dates are already on the calendar.

Like I said, I hope someone can fix this mess quickly before OSS signs a deal with another location. I just can't see spending a week in St Pete for the Worlds. It just wouldn't be the same.
