Offshoreonly.com - Steve Lippincott joins OSS Inspector Team

OSS is proud to announce Steve Lippincott will join our team of Tech Inspectors in the 2007 season.

Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Lippincott served as the plane captain supervisor in VMAF-115 U.S.M.C. aboard the Coral Sea, Nimitz, and Forrestal carriers. After the Marines, he worked at MerCruiser as a quality control supervisor and engineering technician. He also worked at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering as an engineering coordinator and crew chief for Lingenfelter A/E Dragster.

In 1995, he returned to the Brunswick Corp. in Research and Development to work on a new propulsion system. He transferred to Mercury Racing in 1999. With the introduction of the 525EFI, he had the dual role of engineering technician and race support to APBA/SBI and then OSS. Amongst his many talents, Steve is a world expert with the Smartcraft computer system. Currently, he’s employed at Ingenium Product Development of Allenton, WI as an engineering technician.

He has been married since 1998 and they have a 7-year-old daughter, Kayla.

Lippincott will join tech inspectors Gene Stephens, Bob Owen, and Chief Inspector Jim Arvis.
