New OSS Sponsor

May 22, 2007. Usually, companies sponsor OSS or OSS boats to add luster to their products. The latest OSS sponsor does it the other way round: They add luster to OSS boats . At the Driver’s Meeting in Pickwick, TN, Donnie and Natasha Fulmer of Lake Ouachita, AR. were introduced as the newest OSS 2007 Season Sponsors.

The Fulmers own two businesses: Marine Clean. And they have Leverage.

Marine Clean, a boat cleaning and detailing service, was started about eleven years ago. At first it was a part time business, working weekend and evening hours. Finally, both quit their 9-5 jobs, moved to the lake, and made their business take off.

Over the years, they noticed a need for a polish that would work with fiberglass. The polish had to be easy to use and needed to last longer than a couple of months. The Fulmers started testing virtually everything offered in the wax and polish market. They found that everything that was on the market contained Carnauba, Petroleum Distillates and / or Polyurethanes. Distillates and Polyurethanes actually caused the problems they were trying to solve.

”You have to understand that fiberglass care is definitely different than metal surface care. You can use Carnauba and Petroleum Distillates on a vehicle because metal is not porous like fiberglass. The yellowing, hazing and cracking that you see over the years is caused by sealing the fiberglass and not allowing it to properly ventilate.” said Mr. Fulmer.

After many years of research and development, they introduced their “Leverage” product line to consumers. They have specifically designed their product line for boats and their fiberglass surfaces. “Our polish is safe for gel and clear coat finishes, it has the right amount of UV protection for your fiberglass.” continued Fulmer. “You will find many detailed articles in the fiberglass / paint section on OffshoreOnly.com.” Also, those that attended the Miami Boat Show may have seen Leverage being used by many of the leading boat manufactures including Donzi, Cigarette, Eliminator, Hustler and Sunsation.

Donnie and Natasha have been at the last two races applying Leverage and a-bit of elbow grease to many of the different boats and rigs in Race Village. Their product line also includes a metal polish, an oxidation remover and swirl glaze for machine buffing. For more information about the complete line of Leverage products or Marine Clean, call 866-581-SHINE.
