OSS Eases Entry for First Time Racers
The OSS Board of Directors has created a package to help offshore race teams to experience racing with the Offshore Super Series.
The package allows teams to pay only $500 for Hull Registration for their first race. The actual fee is $2,250. If a team decides to continue racing with OSS, at their next OSS race, the regular hull fee is paid minus the $500. This offer is not available for the Worlds. Race teams will still be responsible for registering riding crew ($300 each), non-racing crew ($100 each), and Race Site Registration ($1,500). Ray Delaney, President of the OSS Board of Directors, said “It is our sincere hope that this package offers encouragement to any team who before was undecided. We believe in our product and believe once someone races with us, they will wish to continue.” This entry package will begin in OSS’s upcoming race in Orange Beach, Alabama. Thunder on the Gulf is August 17 – 19. For more information, call OSS headquarters at (228)594-1965. ### |

OK.......I'll ask.
Why is OSS chasing "new racers" when their current President doesn't appear to have raced yet this year? Just curious. |
Nice work Guys. Creative ways to get racers to the water to racing in a safe envoronment. It's very good to know you guys are flexable and working hard towards a better future in offshore racing.

Bruce that link talks about Orange Beach, I'm talking about the LOTO race. I just want to make sure it's safe to assume the OSS/POPRA agreement is the same for LOTO in september as it is for next weekend's Orange Beach race.

I'm on crack. Thought the first post was talking about LOTO being the first low-cost OSS race.
Must have party cove on the brain today! :party-smiley-020: |
LOTO should be the same deal $25k and no entry fees, check with Kevin Cooper with popra.
Phantom thanks for your concern, but I believe Ray will be racing at OB. |
LOTO is the same deal for POPRA, so is the worlds at Destin. OSS and POPRA are seperate, racing together - United We Race! We can't wait.
