Destin no longer on OSS schedule.
 

I was looking to see if the OSS site had any updates about the Nationals in Destin. To my suprise, it was not on the schedule anymore.

Anyone have any info. Was it cancelled or an error on the website.

I am coming to Destin that week for my anniversary and the racing was a bonus for me(I picked this week for the races). Was looking forward to seeing my 1st offshore races. I guess I need to see if I can move a week forward for vacation now, because the logistics are better.

Yeah, they took it off the schedule. The OSS World Cup has been moved to St. Petersburg Fl. November 18-23.

any ideas where trying to run the race-behind the Don Cesar or by the downtown pier? just rying to rally local support & get the word out

OSS is working to have the Race at St Pete beach.

Attended the boat show in tampa this past weekend and asked many of the retailers to look for and support a race in late november in the St. Pete area and to my suprise, several folks advised me that there will not be a race because of lack of a primary sponsor and other significant issues. I hope this was pure misinformation!!!

I have spoken with several senior people affiliated with VERY large automotive, racing , and boating related corporations who have never attended an event. I understand they spend a significant amount at nascar & I hoped to introduce them to the right people at St. Pete to help with future events. If someone will pm me & get me the proper sponsor info/package I will gladly & quietly pass it on to try to get event support.

So. does that mean there will or wont be a St. Pete race this yr ryan?
