Bruce...I was not intending that to you..I know your coming down...I was acaully trying to show the guys that are not coming...that they have a oppertunity to rasie the balance of the money...

In my opinion, everything happens for a reason. No one manipulated anyone - it just happens to be a very unique opportunity for a true World Championship event. Can't imagine anyone being so self centered or self serving that they would boycott KW simply because of any particular sanctioning body or individual. This event is about the sport of offshore racing and is going to be an awesome series of races for all racers and fans alike. Everyone says they want to be united - well here it is - Key West 2008!

Doug....it looks like there will already be a race in Canada next year.....so your outlook is correct...there is a place in Canada for Offshore racing...

We raced up there in 2001 and had a ball...

Well put Dave seems pretty simple to me ...

You get 3 days of Racing for $4000. That's alot of money, but how does that stack up to OSS fees for 3 days of racing? I know the reg fee is $2250 what are the event fees? For OPA it would cost $750 reg fee + 300 for 2 crew.

For 3 days and a United World Title it doesn't look too expensive. Now if we can only get gas under $3 a gallon.

money is a major issue. we are trying to scrape enough to continue next year. bad economy, floods, hurricanes, stock market. alot of things against racing period. nhra had problems with nitro this year.
no one said we would race under oss banner, just wanted to pay entry fee, and oss collect reg fee's. not much to ask for

I agree it is ugly out there right now,and afraid it is going to get worst for all of us before it gets better. All we can do is our best to make ends meet right now. You have to do what is best for you and yours and what ever it is i'm sure will be OK. If KW isnt in your plan this yr. maybe next will be better and we'll see you there.
