This is some serious Board Racing going on here!
Keep it goin'
A quick heads up for the racers of Jersey.
At yesterday's meeting with the NJ Boating Regulation Commission, Roger Brown tried to spring a new one on us.
He wanted to restrict any testing of RACE BOATS to a 10 day window within a scheduled event. He almost went as far as saying the event also would have to be in NJ. Can you imagine only being able to get a race test permit within 10 days of going to a race?
Well fortunately it was squashed at the meeting.
Also the Commission was hell bent on having 13 miles of No Wake Zones added to the Barnegat Bay area. Thankfully to our NJ State Marine Police, they had the final say on it and reduced it to 1 1/2 miles.
And the best one of all! Sailboat regattas will now be required to apply for a race permit or notification. Still being decided on which, but now they too will be going through all the paperwork the offshore guys go through!;)
Use the link for SPEED LIMIT UPDATES below for the latest.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! HAVE A SAFE RACE!

I'm not backing down, I'm still gonna give it hell and kick your and your son's asses up and down the 7 mile bridge.

It's gonna be an ass whooping that hurts so bad and for so long that you will remember it evertime you get in your boat and put on your helmet. All your gonna think is, glad Polli's not racin today. Maybe we have a chance.

Smitty, yo gonna be my *****.

Your buddy, Sponge Ron:)
