Baja Marine Awards Top Dealers in Sales, Customer Service and Outstanding Achievements for Model Year 2007

BUCYRUS, Ohio (Oct. 9, 2007) – Leading performance boat manufacturer Baja Marine is proud to recognize its top dealers in sales, customer service and those with outstanding achievements for the 2007 model year. Dealers who earned top awards include Groupe Performance Marine, Inc. in Île Perrot, Québec, for overall sales; Fastboats in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Big Thunder Marine in Gravois Mills, Mo., for sales achievement; Watersport Paradise Kolvenbach BV, Helmond, Netherlands, for international sales; and Yachts to Sea, Nashville, Ill., for outstanding customer service.

Groupe Performance Marine, Inc. (formerly Groupe Iberville Performance Marine) has been the official Baja dealer for Québec for more than 20 years and boasts four locations throughout the province. “We are proud to be ranked the No. 1 Baja dealer in the world and to be the first dealership outside the United States to have earned that honorable title,” said Pierre Lefebvre, president of Groupe Performance Marine, Inc.

This is the second consecutive year Yachts to Sea has taken home an award for outstanding customer service. “We try to treat everybody like family,” said Jerry Frederking, dealer principal at Yachts to Sea. “We’re very concerned about satisfying our customers and we are extremely proud to be able to call ourselves a Baja dealer.”

Fastboats received the sales achievement award and was also named one of Baja’s Top 10 Dealers after only two-and-a-half years as a dealer. Last year, Fastboats received the “Baja Speed Award.” Randy Sweers, president of Fastboats, attributes the success to his staff’s unparalleled expertise. “We have the highest level of knowledge in the high-performance market,” said Sweers. “Baja filled a niche for us; it has great name recognition and a reputation for good speed and good quality at a good price.”
